Exercises can be Tri-planar but also safe and effective
View this post on Instagram Tri planar exercise? Do we need to move in three planes? Recently on my Strengthcoach.com site the old idea of “ Tri-planar” training came up again. This was a very popular 90's idea and we saw lots of different interpretations of the thought process. What's important to understand here is that @m_vaughan37 is stabilizing in all three planes while moving a load through the frontal and transverse planes. Exercises can be Tri-planar but also safe and effective? It's not always as simple as “ move in three planes” it might be “ stabilize in two and move in one”? Very often the “function” of a muscle is to be a stabilizer or a neutralizer. A post shared by Michael Boyle (@michael_boyle1959) on Aug 24, 2020 at 4:20am PDT
