One of the topics we'll be covering is marketing & differentiating yourself.
So how do you beat out all of the chains coming to town? Orange Theory? F45? Lifetime?
First off - as soon as a client walks in - your people will be the key! Hire the right people! Also fact that you are 6000 square feet or smaller immediately puts you in a different category from any of the "big-box" places.
First - we make it a point to know every client personally. Our last staff training assignment was to find out something about your clients that no one knew before -- in other words, get to know them and build that personal relationship with them. In a chain facility you are a membership number, in our coaching center - you are a person with a story - a story we know! We send hand written cards weekly to clients for different life events.
Finally - and this may be the "secret" if there was one - We are NOT a gym - we are a fitness coaching center -- you don't work with a trainer - you work with a TEAM of coaches and support staff. Everyone on our team will know your goals, and will be able to answer questions. We evolve our programming constantly - so you don't just walk in and see rows of single joint machines - you'll see people working out on the TRX, with sandbags, kettlebells etc in our group programs. Basically it's about delivering a SERVICE. Our goal is to provide a fully comprehensive fitness service that delivers results every single time - rather than provide access to treadmills or rowers and fixed axis equipment.
Every decision we make is based upon one question:
"Will adding this service or product to our program increase our members results, or the delivery of those results?"
Everything we do is different from the chains - our marketing is solution based as opposed to position based, our coaches are better, our facility looks and feels different - we are honestly never compared to the other gyms as at every step of the prospects exposure to us we are obviously a completely different option.
Dedicated to your success,
Alwyn & Rachel Cosgrove
P.S. We will be launching our online Mastery of Program Design Course very soon! Stay tuned for an email in the coming weeks!
