Been getting lots of questions about training kids. I've gotten so many that I decided that my next project with @athletesacceleration is going to be on training kids. One question was about load recommendations for young athletes. One thing I believe is in teaching basic lifts. I like to start kids with hang clean, goblet squat, bench press and chin-ups. Kind of like reading, writing and arithmetic in school. For 11-12 year olds I like to see them progressing with great technique towards 50% of bodyweight. Mark ( shown in the video) is slightly above this at 70 for 5 at about 114 lbs. A post shared by Michael Boyle (@michael_boyle1959) on Feb 6, 2018 at 3:34am PST
