Saturday & Sunday at the Perform Better Summit, Providence, RI
Bruce Kelly
On Saturday, I crawled out of bed after the social on Friday night and headed to see John Brookfield, the ropes master. His demo with the use of ropes, chains and the like lends a new dimension to metabolic work, core strength and upper body speed training. He had some novel ways of using these implements in partner and group settings which means they lend themselves to training teams as well. Good stuff, not easy and a good way to sweat out some Friday night beer! . . .

DAY ONE AT THE PERFORM BETTER SUMMIT, PROVIDENCE
Bruce Kelly
My first thoughts are to thank Chris Porier and his great staff at Perform Better for putting on what are currently the best educational seminars/clinics in our field. Chris attracts the best, most cutting edge practitioners in the field including Thomas Myers of Anatomy Trains fame this year. Thus we in the industry are left with a wealth of choices amongst all these great presenters and it comes down to 4 tough choices every 90 minutes. That is a great luxury to have and makes the Summits the best educational choice in the field. . . .

In a last minute decision I chose Al Vermeil, when convinced by a co-worker it would be extremely beneficial due to its focus on drive, first-push and leg angles. This was the first time I had seen Al and let's just say he more than impressed me from his very first slide. . . .
