This past fall I finally hung 'em up. I had been playing football from the 4th grade Pop Warner days, throughout high school, college and even a small stint in the semi-pro leagues, but it was time to let it go. Work was getting hectic and my athletes were consuming much of my day, leaving me little time to focus on my own athletic endeavors. On top of all this, my wife had just given birth to a baby boy and, as all you parents out there know, life was crazy enough without adding a few games or practices to the mix. Not to mention my body was finally feeling the rigors of 25 years on the gridiron. . . .
