Elsbeth Vaino is a strength and conditioning professional at Ottawa Osteopathy & Sports Therapy, where she works primarily with recreational athletes of all ages wishing to return to sports post-injury. Elsbeth is also the head S&C coach for http://www.customstrength.com, where she uses web 2.0 technology to assess movement and to deliver custom training programs for clients outside of the Ottawa area.

In the winter she teaches downhill skiing at Camp Fortune, just outside of Ottawa, and in previous years has been a guide for disabled skiers, a hockey coach, and an ultimate coach. She is a certified strength & conditioning specialist (NSCA),a certified personal trainer (NASM), a certified hockey coach (NCCP), and a level 2 certified ski instructor (CSIA).

In addition to working with athletes, Elsbeth has a varied sports background herself, having played basketball and hockey at the provincial level, and ultimate at the national level. Prior to becoming a strength coach, Elsbeth enjoyed an engineering career, after earning a bachelor of science in electrical engineering.
