Daniel Martinez is a personal trainer, coach, and competitive Olympic weightlifter who has been training volleyball players and athletes for 8-years. Daniel currently operates Elite Volleyball Performance in San Antonio, Texas, where he trains volleyball players in his ELITE program and other volleyball players training with him for high school and club volleyball programs in the greater San Antonio area. Daniel is also the trainer for Trinity University Volleyball and the Bexar County Juniors Volleyball Academy and Club program. Daniel previously worked as the trainer for Home Court America's Volleyball Academy and Club program. He is currently certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT), and also holds certifications from these organizations: the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT), Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research (Biomechanics), and the International Sports Sciences Association (CFT). Daniel is also currently working towards the completion of his degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Sport Psychology at Texas State University in San Marcos.

Daniel trains as a competitive athlete in Olympic weightlift ing, previously under Coach Oleg Kechko, a 1996 Olympian and World Champion from Belarus and now under Ursula Garza, USA Weightlifting Senior International Coach. Daniel was the bronze medalist at the 2008 Texas State Weightlifting Championships and is currently training as an 85-kilo (187 Pounds) weightlifter to qualify for the USA Weightlifting National Championships.
