Bill Hartman is a physical therapist and sports performance coach in Indianapolis, IN. A lifetime athlete, Bill was a top ten finisher in the National Junior Olympics in the javelin after only two months of specific training. Bill continued his athletic career in college in both football and in track and field as a javelin thrower. Bill also placed second at the Purdue Bodybuilding Championships, at the time was the largest, full-time student bodybuilding contest in the country.

Bill graduated with distinction from Purdue University in 1988 with a degree in Movement and Sports Science and completed 1 year of Masters degree-level coursework in Exercise Physiology before being accepted into the Indiana University Physical Therapy Program. As a graduate of the Indiana University Physical Therapy Program in 1991, Bill was chosen by the faculty to give the student representative address at the commencement ceremonies.

As a physical therapist, Bill has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, extended care, neurologic rehabilitation, and orthopedics/sports medicine which is his current specialty. Bill has received advanced training in treatment of spinal disorders to include spinal mobilization, treatment of lumbo-pelvic disorders, shoulder rehabilitation, knee rehabilitation, core conditioning, and treatment of soft-tissue disorders. Bill is also an Active Release Techniques Practitioner with credentials to treat upper extremity, lower extremity, and spinal disorders.

Bill holds certifications with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and with USA Weightlifting as a Sports Performance Coach. Bill also sits on the Board of Directors of the International Youth Conditioning Association.

Bill owns PR Performance Sport & Fitness Training where he regularly works with general fitness enthusiasts and athletes at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels in a number of sports including golf, football, basketball, martial arts, tennis, and racewalking.

Bill has been featured in national golf publications such as Golf World, Golf Week, and Golf Magazine. He was also a columnist and a member of the advisory board for Men's Fitness Magazine and is currently a contributing writer for Men's Health Magazine. Bill has co-authored a book with Adam Campbell called The Men's Fitness Total Body Plan and created his top-selling DVD, Your Golf Fitness Coach's Video Library.

Along with Mike Robertson, Bill co-created the ground breaking Inside-Out: The Ultimate Body Warm-Up DVD (www.inside-out-warm-up.com). Bill has been featured on numerous websites as well as his own sports and fitness training websites, www.yourgolffitnesscoach.com and www.billhartman.net.
